A 1978 strike at an Iowa beef packing plant provided the inauspicious beginning of an incredible portfolio of Art. A testament to the power of hard work and determination, the Bogenriefs began by restoring antique stained glass windows.

Since their introduction to the medium of stained glass, they have never looked back. Over the years, the Studio has grown from a small house in Seney, Iowa to a studio with a national reputation for exquisite works of art in stained and beveled glass. Signed works are represented in both public and private collections and commissions from Florida to California. With two studio sites, Bogenrief Studios is able to handle commissions and site specific installations of almost any size and complexity.

The studio's skill at creating hand cut and polished bevels was so outstanding that their work and expertise was referenced and featured in the 1982 book, "How to Work in Beveled Glass" by Anita and Seymour Isenberg.
